Meet your new everyday AI companion, Copilot. Whether you’re staring at a blank page or struggling to find the perfect words, Copilot is there to help. With its streamlined interface, you can increase your productivity and focus on what truly matters.
This update offers new insights, creativity, and excitement in your work. Copilot is integrated into Microsoft 365 in two ways. First, it works alongside you, embedded in the Microsoft 365 apps you use every day. Second, it helps unleash your creativity, unlock productivity, and upgrade your skills. These apps include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and more.
Microsoft 365 Chat
Combine content from multiple documents using Microsoft Copilot with Graph-grounded chat to create a new document that consolidates data from various sources. Simply ask Copilot to look at [doc1] and [doc2], identify 3-4 common themes, and then compile them in a new document.
Microsoft Word
Save time formatting tables with Copilot. When you select Visualize as a table from the Copilot menu, the new table you generate will use the formatting you’ve already set for your existing tables.
Microsoft Excel
Ask Copilot for Excel to create a chart from your spreadsheet data with a single prompt. For example, say “Create a chart showing the profit margin for each product category for the last three years.”
Microsoft Outlook
Get assistance drafting emails with Copilot. The tool can provide suggestions for tone, clarity, and reader sentiment. Select the Copilot icon from the toolbar, and then choose Coaching by Copilot from the tool bar. This feature is now available in classic Outlook for Windows.
Microsoft Teams
If you want to use Copilot for Teams but don’t want your meeting transcribed or recorded, use Copilot without transcription in the meeting options. This allows you to utilize Copilot during your meeting while avoiding a transcription of its usage after the meeting.
Microsoft OneNote
Have Copilot for OneNote summarize your notes and arrange the information as you prefer. If you’ve made notes using the audio recording and transcription features, ask Copilot to create a summary and arrange the information chronologically in bullet points.
Microsoft PowerPoint
Search for files in PowerPoint using the “/” capability with Copilot. This matches the functionality of Copilot in Word.
