Apple will release two new versions of the iPhone; the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus will be available on Friday the 19th of September. The iPhone 6 plus is a larger version of the iPhone 6. The 16GB iPhone 6 costs $869, the 64GB model is $999, while the 128GB is AU$1129 SIM Free. Both models follow the latest trend of larger screen sizes in mobile devices.
The iPhone 6 is significantly larger than the iPhone 5 however it is thinner and has rounded edges. It has a 4.7-inch LED back-lit display with a 1334 x 750 while the iPhone 6 Plus, comes with a full HD 1920 x 1080 5.5-inch screen with a 401ppi display. It features an improved polariser for more natural colour when using sunglasses.
Like the iPhone 5, the iPhone 6 comes with 1GB of RAM, however it has a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, compared to the 1.3GHz dual-core processor of the iPhone 5S.
In addition the processor in the iphone 6 is 50% more efficient processor than the previous model with improved graphical display.
It is expected that battery life will be250 hours on standby, 12 11 hours of internet use or 50 hours of audio playback, while data speeds will be up to 150Mbps.
The iphone 6 will run on the newly released Apple iOS 8.
